Blind Spot looks to Nazis in space

"Iron Sky" to be produced with Oliver 27 Films Prods

CANNES -- Finnish production company Blind Spot Pictures has signed a co-production agreement with Oliver Damian’s 27 Films Prods. for their planned Nazis in space film “Iron Sky.”
Billed as a dark sci-fi comedy, the “Iron Sky” tagline is: “In 1945, the Nazis went to the moon. In 2018, they are coming back.” The trailer for the film has become a surprise hit on YouTube and Blind Spot is in Cannes drumming up financing for the English-language feature.
“Since we’re making a film about space Nazis, we’re going to need some really good German talents for the cast” “Iron Sky” director Timo Vuorensola said. “We’re also planning to shoot majority of the film in Germany.”
Damian, a producer on Aleksandr Sokurov’s “Russian Ark” (2002) will co-produce the project through his Berlin-based operation. Earlier this week, Blind Spot closed a pre-sale on the title with Polish distributor Kino Swiat.
